Peningkatan Kemampuan Penalaran Matematika Siswa Materi Segitiga melalui Pendekatan Saintifik Terintegrasi Model Problem Solving

The purpose of this study was to improve students' mathematical reasoning abilities with triangle material through problem solving integrated in the scientific approach model. This research method is classroom action research that follows the model of Kemmis and Taggart. This research includes 3 cycles; each cycle includes 4 stages, planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Participants in this research are 35 students from class VII SMP Kebangsaan-Pondok Aren in the 2019/2020 academic year. Data was collected through test, interview, and observation. The results showed that there was a significant increase in students’ mathematical reasoning abilities in grade VII students. This is evidenced by the increase in the average results of mathematics tests in each cycle, cycle 1=58.43; cycle 2=64.86; cycle 3=77.57 and the results of the interviews conducted concluded that learning mathematics through problem solving integrated in the scientific approach model was fun for students. This study concludes that the model can improve students' mathematical reasoning skills in triangle material in class VII SMP Kebangsaan-Pondok Aren in the 2019/2020 academic year.
